Online Training for Youth Leaders in African Philanthropy
The African Philanthropy Network (APN) is the only continent-wide network of organizations and individuals in Africa and its diaspora that promotes the culture of philanthropic giving. APN’s mission is to reclaim the power and elevate the practices of African philanthropy. APN collaborates with its members, including youth-owned and youth-led organizations and movements, to promote the power of African philanthropy.
About the Training
The purpose of the training is to enhance personal and professional leadership for philanthropy and social impact. All successful candidates will receive certificates of acknowledgement. Specifically, the training will involve topics such as Introduction to African Philanthropy, Leadership 101: What every leader must know about Leadership, Social impact and entrepreneurial mindset, tools for developing entrepreneurial capacity, and Emotional intelligence, among other topics.
APN is collaborating with the Pan-African Leadership Institute (PALI) to organize an online training on leadership from the week starting 25th to 31st August 2025. The PALI is an executive education institute that provides professional leadership courses through online and blended learning channels. The Institute offers a curriculum deeply focused on cultivating leadership, with wisdom from indigenous African cultures and progressive philosophies at its core.
Who is eligible to attend
- An African female or male youth aged between 25 and 35 years
- Affiliated with an APN member organization
- Have access to reliable internet connectivity and a digital device
- Proficiency in the English language, French speakers will be invited separately
- Committed to participating fully and completing all associated assignments
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the field for more than one year
